Eye on Abernethy

The Abernethy Agricultural Fair is taking place this Friday the 28th of July. As usual there will be the all the usual things going on, pancake breakfast, results from the baking and school contests, diaper derby, horse and cattle show, pet shows, and dunk tank amongst other things. there will also be a beer garden which will open at noon and remain open until 8 in the evening for sure, but if there are still people there it will remain open later into the evening. Last year's beer garden was a very good time and provided for lots of entertainment provided by the visiting white trash element that is a local Co-op emloyee's boyfriend.

In other Abernethy related news there was a house party this past saturday night which ended with the arrests of eight people, at least one of them was taken down on my grandparents front lawn (unfortunately they weren't apprehended by my grandparents because that would have been classic entertainment). eight people is nearly 4% of the population of Abernethy, fortunately I don't think any of those arrested were actually from Abernethy but were visitors from one of the near by communities to the north. Why the hell does cool shit like this go down when I'm not in Abernethy ? Someone that reads this blog must know the girl that hosted the party (which she apparently hosted in the home of her vacationing grandfather-classy), and this is what I want anyone who does know her to do. Make arrangement for a huge killer bash sometime between September 9th and September 30th 2006. I will be in Abernethy in that time frame and want to see a good ol' house party, I won't make any assurances however that the people I bring or myself won't steal, burn, or vandalize anything from where the party is held, but hey do I guaruntee we'll have a good time and in the end thats all that really matters.
