That, and his people are horribly destitute due to trade embargos.
i know, i know the cuban missile crisis was bad, and that there are apparently human rights violations, on the other side of the argument they have a better health care system than canada. i understand its the states that doesn't have relations with cuba but if they can kiss and make up with libya who bombed a disco in berlin killing american citizens and bombed pan am flight 103 and uta flight 772, why don't they bite the bullet and play nice with castro.
i actually wrote this post when i was slightly in the bag and really couldn't think why the states was pissy at them.
It's the whole anti-communist thing too. Way more Americans are scared of "commies" than folks in Canada, SK in particular.
Bush having a brother in FLorida complicates things too I'm sure.
