Abernethy Aber Dome Lounge
The lounge is located upstairs in the AberDome on Qu'appelle Avenue in Abernethy Saskatchewan. The lounge, also sometimes called the only bar in town has some of the cheapest drinks compared to other bars in neighbouring towns. As well as cheap drinks there is a kitchen downstairs serving burgers, hot dogs, fries, and other munchies. Every winter the lounge purchases a television for use in the lounge then raffles it off at the end of the winter. The lounge is only open in the winter months during regular curling, and skating hours, as well as bonspiels and hockey tournaments. The lounge is the property of the Abernethy rink board and is controlled in the same manner as the rest of the rink by a board of directors. In the past the lounge has been used by some board members as their own private social club, although currently this is not the case.
