I don't want the terrorists to win

Your 'Do You Want the Terrorists to Win' Score: 32%

Fairly well done, fellow patriotic citizen. You have taken a decisive stand behind our dear leader and against the terrorists. However you do not march completely in lockstep conformity, and that is troubling. Steel your commitment to the defeat of evil! Bow in unquestioning loyalty to George Bush! Afterall you don't want to be a liberal, do you?

Iran hosts anti holocaust delegation

Rabbi Moishe Arye Friedman shakes hands with Iranian President Ahmadinejad Iran is hosting a conference in Tehran for those people that don't believe the holocaust ever happened or that it was extremely exagerated.
President Ahmadinejad told people attending the conference that Israels days are numbered. "Thanks to people's wishes and God's will, the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want," he said. "Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime soon be wiped out," he added.
His comments were applauded by those attending the conference which included ultra orthodox jews, and European, and American writer who believe that the holocaust never happened or that it was exagerated.
The thing that boggles my mind is that any Jew would attend such a conference, no matter how orthodox they may be, why would they want the state of Israel destroyed ?

Israeli P.M. admits having nuclear weapons

In an interview with a German television station the Israeli Prime Minister was asked about Iran's calls for the destruction of Israel.
The Prime Minister's response was this, "Iran openly, explicitly and publicly threatens to wipe Israel off the map," Olmert said. "Can you say that this is the same level, when you are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?"
In addition to this comment, the U.S.A.'s new defence secretary identified Israel as a nuclear power only days ago.
Is this the end to Israel's policy of ambiguity regarding its supposed nuclear weapons program ?

Republican ad yanked from airwaves--South Korea imposes sanctions against North Korea

the republican campaign ad in a hotly contested riding in tennessee has been pulled off the airwaves. the ad was critisized in Canada for its depiction of Canadians as being uninvolved in world events and one man in the ad said "Canada can take care of North Korea, they're not busy". below is the ad.

South Korea announced today that they will enforce U.N. sanctions against North Korea by banning officials from the North from entering the south and by controlling financial transactions between the two countries. Yesterday the North said that any move by the South to impose sanctions would be viewed as 'declaration of confrontation' that would cause 'corresponding measures from the Norht'. I don't know exactly what that means, but it kind of sounds like the North might get pretty pissy if their cousins to the South don't play nice and share with them.

expect more canadian fatalities in afghanistan

the canadian public should prepare itself for more of our soldiers not returning home from afghanistan, not because of increased al qaeda or taliban attacks but because the canadian forces may be sending the sea king helicopters to help transport troops and equipment. soldiers that are about to deploy to afghanistan were trained last month on the aging and jinxed helicopters. apparently our army is short handed when it comes to helicopter support and both the U.S. military and Boeing have refused to lease Canada the necessary equipment. currently Canada relies on the Netherlands, Britain, and the U.S. for use of their helicopters. the five sea kings that canadian soldiers have been training on have been stripped of their anti submarine equipment and been replaced with troop seats, army radios, and GPS systems(something you'd think a helicopter should have already).

Redneck Army

The Pentagon anounced today the formation of a 500 man elite fighting unit, called the United States Redneck Special Forces(USRSF).
These Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, West Virginia, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Texas boys will be dropped off in Iraq and given only the following facts about terrorists:
1.the season opens today
2.there is no limit
3.they taste just like chicken
4.they don't like beer, pickups, country music, or jesus
5.they are directly responsible for the death of Dale Earnhardt
The Pentagon expects the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday.
this was obviously just a joke and hopefully didn't offend anyone from alabama, arkansas, georgia, kentucky, mississippi, west virginia, missouri, oklahoma, tennessee, and texas. if it does you can direct your complaints to boo radley who sent it to me in an email. HA HA

Japan's meteorological agency has detected a magnitude 6.0 earthquake from North Korea which has prompted speculation that the communist regime has test detonated a second nuclear weapon. come on W, send in the troops and lets reunify the korean peninsula.

Iran captures and occupies Romanian oil rig

what, me worry ?
Iranian warships fired at, then boarded and occupied a Romanian owned oil rig located in the Persian Gulf on August 22nd. Iranian officials haven't responded to their unprovoked act of aggression, but a Romanian national security advisor said the occupation of the rig is the result of a commercial disagreement between Iran and Romania that Iran is treating 'in an extreme way'.

Maybe this isn't the doomsday prophecy which was predicted to happen today, but it sure is crazy.

canada a nuclear power ?

tonight i was reading a blog called red, white, and plaid. the author of this blog made a post about canada taking over the world, i assume he was being funny but there was one thing i found interesting in his post. he wrote that according to the wikipedia canada had a clandestine nuclear weapons program under the leadership of prime minister john diefenbaker and that the weapons produced are still around to this day. obviously this is a conspiracy theory with probably little to no basis in fact but it is interesting none the less. there were american nuclear weapons based on canadian soil with dual key control during the sixties, and six canadian squadron in europe also carried nuclear air to air missiles under the NATO nuclear weapons sharing program. its nice to learn that at one time canada had balls, its also funny to learn we had six air force squadrons based in europe, i wonder if we even have six air force squadrons in the entire air force these days.

casualties of war !!!

i was listening to adler online this afternoon on the radio and heard a bizarre story. during the recent israeli/lebanon conflict a woman was struck by shrapnel or a bullet and the only thing that stopped the projectile from hitting her internal organs and causing extreme damage was her silicone breast implants. i couldn't find anymore information about this story when i googled it but there was some 'tit'ilating results to say the least, especially in google images.

August 22nd----Doomsday ?

during the cold war the soviet union and the united states refrained from attacking each other because of mutually assured destruction, or MAD. basically this meant that if one side were to nuke the other they could be assured that their opponents response would also be nuclear and the destruction of both countries way of life.
iran doesn't share the same views when it comes to mutually assured destruction. if they were to attack israel, they would not be worried about possible nuclear retaliation from israel because the current iranian leadership are strong beleivers in the 12th imam. basically they beleive this 12th imam who god has hidden for hundreds of years will bring about islam as the religion of all man kind and although many islamics would be killed in the ensuing war, it would be worth it to the 12th imam beleivers because of all the zionist deaths.
why august 22nd ? well according to an islamic calendar, august 22nd lines up with the date that the prophet muhammed flew to jerusalem, then to heaven and back. sounds crazy to me but i guess the president of iran is a strong beleiver in all this religious superstition.
read the articles, and the description of the 12th imam on wikipedia to better understand this garbage(if its possible).

on another note, i would never put christian beliefs in the same boat as radical islamic ones, but just think what some people think about a story of a man stuffing two of each creature on earth onto a boat to repopulate the earth, also the story of that guy that parted the red sea to escape egyptians, and that other fairly notable figure that turned water into wine(not that that wouldn't be sweet) and walked on water. growing up and being taught these stories lots of people accept them without thinking, but step back for a minute and take a look at them from a non believers point of view and you might see how crazy they sound. having faith in something is good, but personally i think all religions are crazy. i look at an evangelical christian the same way i look at a radical muslim, as a crazy person.

troop numbers up

in the deadliest week of canada's mission in afganistan, troop recruitments are up, despite the staggering(sarcasm) loss of 26 canadian soldiers during operation enduring freedom. the canadian forces average around 25,000 new recruits in a year, so far in the last six months they have already recruited 17,000 men and women.

Canada, Brazil, and Japan-- a peace keeping dream team ?

according to Mustapha from Beirut Spring, the Lebanese are most likely to trust Canadian, Brazilian, and Japanese peacekeepers if there is to be any kind of U.N. force to peacekeep in southern Lebanon.
its good to see that Canada is still held in high regard in some portions of the middle east.

U.N. or Hezbollah, I'm confused !?!?

The wife of the Canadian soldier that is lost and presumed dead after the bombing of his U.N. post in southern Lebanon blames Israel and says it was a deliberate attack. She also says that said outpost should have been the safest place to be because they were U.N. soldiers. If the U.N. gave a damn about those soldiers they should have been evacuated as soon as any hostilities broke out between hezbollah and Israel, the safest place would have been at home in Canada. I don't doubt for one minute that Israel is responsible for this attack, and should answer for their obvious mistake but take a look at the picture above of another U.N. observer position in southern Lebanon and notice the Hezbollah flag flying proudly beside the U.N. flag. With mixed signals like that I can understand how mistakes can be made in an already confusing situation.
